It is an absolute hidden gem!!! Food is outstanding! The way they seasoned meat and grilled it did not require any sauce or even a steak knife for it, even though they provided it. We ordered Pichana, grilled pineapple and Parotta Madurai, everything was so delicious! I even saved some to share with my boss and his wife, who runs well-known cured meat business in Seattle, and they smacked, enjoyed each bite of it! We definetely going back to experience more food they have and chat with a super friendly and knowledgable owner!

Tonight we went to Ubuntu Meat Bar in Everett, and I can't say enough good things!! We ordered Peri Peri Chicken Thighs, Samosa, Parotta Madurai, Chettinad Chicken Curry, Pichana, South African Yellow Rice, Mango Lassi, amd dessert (there were four of us!) and shared everything so we could all try. Every single thing was delicious, amd we left full!! The service was the BEST!! Shan hosted and cooked, she made us feel like we were in a home, complete with hugs goodbye!! 1000% recommend and we'll be going back there

Where do I start? This was my first time visiting, and I was thoroughly impressed — from the service to the food! Shan was incredibly friendly and pleasant to talk to, and I felt welcomed the moment I walked in, which means a lot. The interior is beautiful, the food is delicious, and the service is excellent. I think I’ve found my new favorite place to eat in Everett. I highly recommend checking them out!

My wife and I had an amazing experience at Ubuntu in Everett. From start to finish everything was fantastic. Shanetta was our server, bartender, and also the cook, which honestly blew us away. Even while handling everything on her own, she was attentive, friendly, and made sure everyone in the restaurant was taken care of. She did an incredible job and deserves a ton of credit for how smoothly she ran things. I ordered the pichana steak and my wife had the rack of lamb. Both dishes were outstanding. The blend of seasonings and spices was unique, bold, and incredibly flavorful. Every bite was top notch. We also tried the African greens, Jamaican rice and peas, samosa, and the Parotta Madurai. Everything was absolutely delicious and cooked with care. I highly recommend checking this place out if you want something different and full of flavor. If it is normal for them to have one person handling the kitchen, hosting, serving, and bartending, I would just suggest being patient. The food and service are worth it. Hopefully they staff up in the future because this place has so much potential. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely loved our experience at Ubuntu Grill in Everett! The food was amazing - fresh, flavourful, and deeply authentic. The chef is Malawian, and you can truly taste the heart and tradition in every bite. We had the samosas, Nsiima, goat stew, and chicken wings. Each dish was spot-on and brilliantly done. The goat stew was rich and tender, the wings perfectly seasoned, and the Nsiima took us straight to Southern Africa. We’re already planning to go back often. Highly recommend!
