🟡🔴🟢 Solid New Spot in Chattanooga Stopped in at Chattanooga Eats & Chill after swinging by the Ace Hardware nearby. I ordered the steak and onion burrito with a tropical smoothie for $20.09, and both were spot on. They even threw in a free brisket empanada, which was a nice surprise and packed with flavor. The staff was friendly, the food came out quick, and everything tasted fresh. Inside has a light, open feel with big windows letting in plenty of daylight and a clean casual setup with counter seating. My receipt still showed the old name, Sabor Modern Latino, but it is now running as Chattanooga Eats & Chill. I ate every bite
if you haven't been since the rebranding, you should go! everything is handmade and cooked fresh. We ate too much but enjoyed every delicious bite to the max. We had today's special, a freshly made Pupusa stuffed with brisket, chili, cheese, pinto and black beans along with a small side of coleslaw. Just to be indulging, we also got onion rings that came out hot. we couldn't help ourselves and ordered a freshly fried peach pie, big enough for two to share. We about needed a wheelbarrow to roll us out to the car. Sabrina (the new chef) and the owner stopped by to ensure we were enjoying our meal...we were too busy eating the awesome food to talk much. Don't expect the food presentation to be that of a 4 star restaurant. It's what makes this place so interesting and a delight. Chef Sabrina described the food as "Chattanooga Latino". they also serve breakfast dishes if you're looking for a brunch as they open at 11am.
GO NOW to this restaurant if you live even relatively close by. We had the best tostones I’ve ever had with beef brisket and guacamole. We ordered the shrimp tacos, and you can tell that there is attention to detail when it comes to cooking their food in the best way possible, as the shrimp could not be more juicy and well cooked. Out of our entire trip to Tennessee, this ended up being the best restaurant we went to. Travelers and tourists, don’t be afraid to try something other than southern food if you are in the area. As for locals, support this business now!
Love to support the new place in town. Much of Mojo’s ambiance remains - they’re still making their mark. Service was friendly and fast. The shrimp and mango ceviche was a much larger serving than expected - I wonder if it will decrease as time goes on and costs are evaluated. Either way, it is a delicious choice. The taco tico was good, but the fries are gringo-worthy only. Would be great to see a substitute that was more latino. Warm chips were served with the meal and a fresh salsa was brought after we asked for it. Will ask at the register next time. Come out and support this new small business and let’s help it thrive!
Never knew the need for having tacos and sushi at the same time until today and we are sold! Fantastic little spot! Everything we tried was good. This will be a regular spot for us now. It satisfied two cravings at once and we got to support local independent business at the same time. Our visit was full of wins👍👍
