Took my daughter to lunch. She had birria tacos. They were delicious. I ordered the lunch steak fajitas well done. I had to send it back as my meat was not well done. It was also not well done the second time either so I didn't even eat. They did offer to make me something different but I wasn't interested. On the way out we decided to try the bakery. Everything looked amazing. Sad to say the Tres leches cake was subpar at best.
We had a group of about 20+ and that doesn't even include kids. The service was great. We understood that our order would take a bit longer due to the amount of people we had in our party but the food came out hot and amazing! I had gorditas de chorizo and pastor, my husband too and my daughter a quesadilla with rice and bean. Food was delicious! Drinks kept coming as we asked for them. All in all we will be repeat customers!
This is a wonderful new restaurant on the Roth east side of Des Moines They put in a lot of work for the remodel. The food was wonderful from the carnitas to the vegetarian fajitas. The salsa was wonderful, the green sauce was excellent. As a note during lunch we had to sit a little before they brought the check. But I’m sure that will improve with practice.
Food was good, great protein and price. Will be back to try more items on the menu.
It would be easier to order if you know Mexican. Our server (probably the owner) was very helpful. One enjoyed their steak, though the peppers on top were hotter than anticipated. The Other said they didn't have words for how good their mushroom quesadilla was.
