The Retired & Disabled Police of America (RDPOA) is a fraternal organization formed in October, 1990 and incorporated under the laws of the District of Columbia as a non-profit corporation, and is managed by a Board of Directors consisting of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Executive Director.
Shhh… can you keep a secret? I checked Valentine’s Day shopping off my list today—and I may have picked up a little something for myself, too. My husband doesn’t eat chocolate, but with so many incredible options, choosing wasn’t easy. I left with coffee, salted caramel, and single malt scotch toffee—I couldn’t resist. What a true gem. A beautiful shop with an amazing variety, all handcrafted in-house the old-fashioned way. And the moment you walk in? The aroma alone is worth the visit. Highly recommend!
I was anxious to try out their toffee and compare it to Sees Candies. I have always loved toffee brittle from Sees since I was young but the toffee here is just as delicious! Plus it's freshly made, daily!! Their scones are great because they are not too sweet. Perfect with a cup of coffee. This was the first time I ever saw toffee with a hint of mint! Really good :)
My daughter and I came this morning for coffee and scones. We enjoyed the coffee and our scones. This is a nice cozy space to have a coffee and pastry. They also have toffee (as the name suggests), but I'm super glad to have a mom and pop coffee place nearby. The employees are very kind and helpful. We haven't tried the toffee yet (waiting for the family to get home), but I wanted to post this review so I don't forget. I expressly came here to scope it out as a cozy coffee place near to me.
-SUGAR FREE TOFFEE AVAILABLE- High quality products, made from high quality ingredients. Some of the best scones around, and the toffee is perfection, even the sugar free variety. They have a wide array of teas, that if you actually like and know your teas, you can immediately tell are made from premium tea leaves. Their Earl Grey was the best I've ever had. Their coffee is strong, but smooth, and pairs so well with their Scottish Tablet. Little bite with a sip of some hot coffee, perfection! Everyone time I go in, the owner is so warm and friendly, an absolute delight to talk to. Love this place!
This is such an adorable little spot. I am so happy to see somewhere truly delicious finally fill this location after so many decades! The Toffee both milk/dark chocolate are both outstanding. The real treat for me though are the Scones and Devonshire cream. I hope everyone will come and enjoy this sweet little shop, so that I can continue to enjoy for years to come!
