The Retired & Disabled Police of America (RDPOA) is a fraternal organization formed in October, 1990 and incorporated under the laws of the District of Columbia as a non-profit corporation, and is managed by a Board of Directors consisting of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Executive Director.
Literally ADORE this place. Me and my daughter like to regularly appear on Wicked Wednesday (as well as others) and are never disappointed. The fresh sandwiches, the fresh fries, milkshakes. And that staff is ALWAYS friendly!
I've been here about six times since they've opened, pretty solid offerings, kind of a decent Quiznos replacement. Solid sandwiches and french fries as an offering instead of the usual chips like most places. Pretty cool build your own options and fill out forms. Service is pretty standard solid, kind of slow though. Atmosphere is pretty default with one TV. The food is the best part. Tried the cloud wich and that was pretty good! For the amount of food I got and the shake, $20 seemed like a lot even though it was pretty tasty.
I was pretty excited to check this place out as it has been on my list of places to eat for a little while the idea of a lettuce wich was my pick, since I am not a fan of meat, dairy or bread I was pleased with the choices offered from the sauces to the toppings it made my choice perfect for me ! I ordered a seafood lettucewich and added a beverage and crinkle fries, I most assuredly had to try the house sauce for dipping which was delicious and the fries were refreshingly clean and tasty. The price was reasonable for the wich, it was more than I needed for 1 meal .I will be going again they even have children meals so I can get my little a PbNj and a shake !
Very disappointed that we couldn't have fries because the fryer was broken (when we went a different time they had the same issue). The bread was overcooked and on the dry side. The cheese and meat seemed to be of lesser quality than my previous visits. Usually this is a place I like to go to when I am back in town but after this visit I don't know if I will go back. Also, the seat cushions on the benches were ripped. Not impressed.
Super small sandwiches and very thin bread. not much for toppings. skip this place - waste of money
