A very special and lovely shop in PG. I love to pop in to see the new seasonal items as the displays are always so beautifully done. It is my go-to spot for a birthday gift, any card, wrapping needs, or something for a visiting guest. Thank you for this beautiful store!

The Quill has turned into my go-to stop to find a lovely gifts whether it is a hostess gift or a birthday present. The store is full of beautiful collections ranging from the Nest New York to Rifle Paper Co. There is even a section that displays cards made by local artists of local scenery. The very nice ladies at the counter could tell my arms were getting full and took the items from my arms to behind the counter so I could keep shopping in comfort. They also informed me that we can make appointments for custom birthday party invites. Truly a one-stop-shop for all types of parties and events!

I love this store. Stephanie is so thoughtful and has a great eye for style. I love the selection of cards and gifts and never fail to find the just-right thing here… (but as often as not, the gift is for me. Let’s be honest.) I’ll be back again for more, so keep doing what you’re doing, The Quill!!!

Nice try, Unprofessional Owner of The Quill, Stephanie, & your Equally Dis-Courteous & Unprofessional Twin, RACHEL! The Truth, is as I have written it below! Fortunately, I have saved your disgusting Manager's, Harrassing message's! You are both Disgusting, & are a Perfectly matched pair, in your Dis-Respect, for your UNVALUED Custoner's, & should Not be working with the public, let alone operating a Shop! And, I have both your written, & Voicemail threat's, to Prove it! The Shame, 'lie's' with you, The Quill! Dear! Customer's Beware! What a Horrific Disapointment, having been a repeat Customer! Not only with the Owner, Stephanie, but her Discourteous & Unprofessional Twin, Manager! The Quill Owner, Stephanie, not only did not provide me with the cost of the Phone order we were discussing, but took the further liberty, wthout my Authortzation, of shipping the Greeting Card order we had been discussing! No surprise here, as when i receuved the Unautorized delivery, the enclosed Invoice was Blank! Again, no pricing/cost, of the Card order we had been discussing! 'The Quill's' owner, Stephanie, & her Twin, Failure Manager, are not only Discourteous & Unprofessional, but are now Harrassing me for payment, due to their own, Utter Failure's! Potential 'Quill' Customer's, Beware! Both the Owner of The Quill, Stephanie, & her Discourteous & Unprofessional Twin Manager, are behaving like Desperate Shop owner's, so Desperate for a Sale, they have not only lost forever, due to their own lack of Professionslism, a Repeat customer, but my lack of Respect! The Shame is on you, The Quill!

This store has beautiful cards but because of my experience, I will never shop at this store again. The woman that helped me said her name was Alicia. She is Extremely Rude / Unprofessional. I work in customer service too, and it is unreal that someone can get away with treating people like she does and keep their job. Because of my encounter with this person, I am writing this review. I complained about her to the owner, but I’m sure nothing will come of it. I would never recommend anyone to shop at the quill. I am a local born and raised and when I hear people (who are not from here), tell me they would never return to Monterey county because it feels pretentious and unfriendly, well, they probably went into The Quill. Pretentious and unfriendly alive and well in The Quill. When speaking to the owner she told me that the woman was going through some hard times and all I can say is no matter what you’re dealing will, when you show up to work, you treat people kindly. Your at work and that’s your job! - this is a card store and you are selling sentimental items! There is a great card store in the cross roads in Carmel. I recommend that one!
