What a unique, little barbecue spot! The food was delicious, the restaurant has the quirkiest vibe with antiques collected by the owner, and the man working behind the counter (apologies for not getting his name!) was incredibly kind. I got the brisket with a side of mac and cheese and collard greens. The mac and cheese was possibly the best I’ve ever eaten! Unfortunately, I didn't get a photo of it because we ate it so fast. The brisket was juicy, and they even gave us a little bit extra just because. If you have time for lunch on a workday or are passing by, please do stop by. This is a small business I will continue supporting!
Loved it. Lanier Islands Parkway. Close to downtown Buford and Lanier Islands. Went with the pulled pork, baked beans, & Mac & cheese 🧀 everything was amazing. Highly recommend.
Really a hole in the wall place - perfect for a country barbecue restaurant. It's really a small place right out from a fairy tale. But dont let the good looks take away anything from the quality expectation on the food. It was really the best brisket I have had in the recent times. The owner ( who is also the chef, cashier and the server ) is a very friendly person. He said he modeled the place after his parents and grandma - very personalized and very individualistic with a lot of character. He also told me that he changes up the menu frequently. Particularly on Tuesdays. Overall I left happy and filled.
I kept riding by this place on my bicycle and was mesmerized by the aromas. Finally tried it today. So just a hole in the wall place with a couple of outdoor porch tables for seating. Nonetheless a very eclectic place with all kinds of memorabilia which are fun to observe. The order takers were very friendly and personable. So the bottom line is the food. We loved it. Not overly smoked or spiced BBQ, just great natural flavors coming through. A variety of sides are available too which were good also. I will be back. Note to owners, the plastic side containers are hard to open. I suggest using something else
Awesome. Little BBQ stand right off the road. Only one guy working when I went. I always do pulled pork sandwiches. I wasn’t a big fan of the sauce but it wasn’t bad, the buns weren’t the best. And the pork was so good it didn’t matter. Portions were great. I’m a bigger guy and I’m not finishing my lunch.
