I’ve been here a handful of times, I like coming on Wednesday because the salad bar is $5 and it has salad fruit, soups, some choice of dessert multiple dressing and some really good crackers. I also always get the fried mushrooms they are my favorite and they are so good! Today we tasted the barbecue fries, I didn’t like the battered fries on them I wouldn’t get them again. Overall everything is good the atmosphere, the food and the service is excellent. I’ve always enjoyed my visits here.
I have driven by Mack's many times on the way to Jesup from Jacksonville and have always wanted to stop and try it. This time I did stop and was beyond happy I did. The food was great. I tried a little of everything. The service was excellent, and the place was nice inside. Thumbs up on all their meats and BBQ sauce. I will be back.
Great experience good food! Has a solid bar as what was on sports bar. Make sure to get the fried mushrooms with whatever you’re eating! I make sure to come here at least once a month.
I recently visited this restaurant with my mom, and unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing. Upon arrival, we were told to wait for a table, which was fine, but after about 10 minutes, a family of 10 came in and was immediately attended to by the staff. My mom and I were very confused, and the larger party even noticed that we had been there first and said they wanted us to go ahead of them. The staff still went to the larger party and was immediately ready to seat them. We waited for another 5 minutes before a staff member came huffing and puffing to tend to us. To make matters worse, I decided I just wanted to order a simple side salad to go because I didn't want to dine in and deal with the staff ignoring us. When I asked how long it would take, the waitress said it would be about 15 minutes. At that point, we had already been waiting for 15 minutes without any service. If we had received the same attention as the larger party, we could have ordered and been on our way. I can't help but wonder if race played a role in the difference in treatment, and it left a sour taste in our mouths. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, especially given how we were treated. It felt like we were overlooked and not valued as customers. Left without ordering due to the treatment from the staff.
Came here this evening to have dinner with my family and I am so glad we did. We had an amazing server named Brittany. She greeted us with a smile and made sure we had everything we needed for our meal and drinks. Best BBQ I have had in a long time. We also enjoyed the the music that a gentleman was singing this evening. Look forward to stopping back in on our way home from Florida.
