The Retired & Disabled Police of America (RDPOA) is a fraternal organization formed in October, 1990 and incorporated under the laws of the District of Columbia as a non-profit corporation, and is managed by a Board of Directors consisting of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Executive Director.
El Tecate was great! The food was super tasty and the drinks (cocktails and beer) were awesome and a great price. The chips and salsa at the start were good too! The service was incredibly fast and prompt, plus both of the waitresses were extremely friendly. My husband and I will definitely be back 💖😁
Tried this place out for lunch today. The food was delicious and I loved the salsa verde with the chips. They have $2 Tecate beer which surprised me so I got one of those. Two enchiladas, rice, beans, enough tortilla chips and salsa to stuff yourself full, and a nice cheap lager, all for $13? I'm sold! It's a haul from where I live but anytime I'm in that area and craving Mexican food, I'll go here. The service and timing for the food to come out was a little slower than at many other Mexican restaurants, but it's not bad, it's just not as "instant" as what you'll get at some places where your plates are delivered 5 minutes after you order. And I'm okay with that.
We had a great experience! It was a nice night so we sat out on the patio. The avocado salsa & mojitos were delicious. The staff was friendly, helpful & so kind when we asked to stay out on the patio for a while after they closed. They could have asked us to leave but they were so gracious. Thank you!

Authentic. That's the best word to describe the food. Prices are fair, patio was nice , staff was pleasant. We went there in lunch, so I can't comment on how busy it is, however, it was great while we were there. Update: multiple lunch visits. Always very good. Absolutely on our short list l.
