The Retired & Disabled Police of America (RDPOA) is a fraternal organization formed in October, 1990 and incorporated under the laws of the District of Columbia as a non-profit corporation, and is managed by a Board of Directors consisting of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Executive Director.
If you're in Covina and craving some mouth-watering BBQ, you need to check out this little gem of a restaurant! BB, the owner, and DJ, her amazing employee, run a lovely boutique spot right in central downtown. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with welcoming smiles and the inviting smell of delicious food that draws you right in. I tried their Big Daddy Burrito, and let me tell you—it was absolutely phenomenal. Stuffed with perfectly smoked meats and just the right amount of sauce, it’s the perfect BBQ burrito. But the star of the show was their Smoked Brisket Sandwich paired with mac 'n' cheese and BBQ beans—an absolute flavor explosion! The atmosphere is fantastic too. The music playlist is on point, creating the perfect vibe while you enjoy your meal. And the customer service? Exceptional! They went above and beyond, sharing all the details about their food and even gave me a sample of their amazing greens. I left full, but still wanting more because everything was just that good! This review is hard. I was so happy to see a soul food restaurant. The signage on the building does not emphasize "Soul Food" . Yet, the menu does feed your spirit when you look at it. Soul Food is worth standing/sitting around for while your order is cooked/prepared. It's the kind of meal where leftovers are even pleasing to eat the next day. I ordered my food to go. I suggest going early. The banana pudding was clearly separating banana juices from the pudding. I threw it away with my leftovers. The portions size was satisfying. The prices were competitive. There is two hour free limited parking in front of the cafe.
Small and quaint. Solid waffles, amazing crispy hash browns. Food served fresh and hot! Family owned and operated. Super friendly. Will come back to try the breakfast burrito!
My second time at BB's Cafe and it's definitely one of my favorite spots. The food is fantastic and the people here are so kind. Favorite so far is Catfish & Waffle combo, but everything is good!
The best bacon breakfast burrito I have ever had! Wow! Everything is slice up and the bacon was incredible! My new go-to spot.
