The Retired & Disabled Police of America (RDPOA) is a fraternal organization formed in October, 1990 and incorporated under the laws of the District of Columbia as a non-profit corporation, and is managed by a Board of Directors consisting of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Executive Director.
First time here. Needed a quick lunch. They did not disappoint! I had the Chori Pollo lunch plate. It was fantastic! The chick was not dry and was seasoned well and included spicy chorizo on top smothered in queso with beans and rice with fresh tortillas. It was packed with flavor. The service was good as well. The food came out so quick! I will have to come back again and try a margarita
In Lafayette and had a taste for Mexican food, my friends recommended Mezcal and man was it good!! Really nice/cozy restaurant, the service was prompt, consistent, and friendly. Our server checked on us regularly, and was very friendly/helpful. The food was absolutely delicious! I got the Broussard Specialty and I wish all Mexican restaurants served this! It was the best thing I’ve ever ordered at a Mexican restaurant!! The margaritas are phenomenal as well, and the prices for everything are super reasonable! Mezcal Mexican Restaurant is just an all around great experience!
The food was delicious. We ordered the Burrito fajitas with steak and the Burrito Cancun with shrimp. Both were seasoned very well. It was a huge burrito stuffed with the meat, onions, bell peppers. Served with a side of rice and guacamole salad. We got a frozen margarita and it was very tasty, not from a mix.
Joaquin (one of the owners) is the best!! This place gets a grade A+++ in customer service, food, atmosphere, prices, everything. Absolutely will be back on the regular. My family and I just moved to Louisiana and had my mother in town and she wanted Mexican food before heading back to Maine. We took her here based on reviews and it was absolutely the best choice we could’ve made. She’s from California and has VERY high standards when it comes to Mexican food and she was so impressed with the food! They even have a help yourself salsa bar with a ton of different salsas and sauces. We chose four different ones and they were all amazing - super fresh and delicious. Joaquin was the one who welcomed us in, took our orders, and brought us our food. He’s honestly who sold us on the place before we even got our food just based on his customer service. So happy to have found this place and we are excited to be back again. Can’t wait to try more on the menu, everything we got was spot on. Also very affordable with amazing deals and specials! EVERYTHING WAS ALSO VERY CLEAN.
We visited Mezcal Mexican Restaurant for the first time and were so impressed from start to finish. I ordered the lunch fajitas and took advantage of their 2-for-1 margaritas — both were excellent! The fajitas came sizzling hot, packed with flavor, and the margaritas were perfectly balanced. My husband had the pollo a la crema, which was rich, creamy, and full of flavor, paired with a refreshing mango agua fresca that tasted like it was made with fresh fruit. We also tried all the salsas they brought to the table, and every single one was fresh, vibrant, and delicious. The service was friendly and attentive, the portions were generous, and the atmosphere made for a relaxed, enjoyable meal. We left full and happy, already talking about what we want to try next time.
