About Pizza Land
The Retired & Disabled Police of America (RDPOA) is a fraternal organization formed in October, 1990 and incorporated under the laws of the District of Columbia as a non-profit corporation, and is managed by a Board of Directors consisting of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Executive Director.
The food was absolutely delicious, the service was amazing, everyone was very nice and answered our questions. Hands down the best tiramisu I've ever had. Garlic cheese knots, calzones, lasagna .. all so good. I loved the marinara. Wish we were closer, we would eat here more often!
Stopped here on our way back to Pennsylvania. The location is very convenient—right off the highway and next to the Red Roof Inn. We ordered the bacon cheese fries, hot honey tenders, and a large half cheese/half buffalo chicken pizza. The food overall was okay but could be improved with a few adjustments. The cheese fries came with turkey bacon, which was unexpected and didn’t pair well with the dish. The hot honey tenders were drizzled with sauce rather than tossed, which made the flavor uneven—I’d recommend tossing them for better consistency. The pizza had good flavor but was extremely heavy on cheese, making it overly greasy. I had to reheat the leftovers in the air fryer to make it more enjoyable. Also, the portion sizing was a bit misleading—the “large” is closer to a medium compared to most places, so an XXL would be the better option if you want a true large. One major downside was the outdoor dining experience. While we were eating, what seemed to be the managers or owners were sitting just a table away chain-smoking. As non-smokers, this really impacted our ability to enjoy the meal. I’d strongly suggest moving smoking to the side or back of the building if guests are seated outside. This place has potential with its convenient location and menu variety, but a few changes in both food preparation and customer experience could make a big difference.
We stopped in for lunch on a Thursday and several people there eating. Friendly greeting and told to sit ourselves. The server arrived very quickly to give us menus and take our drink order. We decided to have a large Margherita pizza. It arrived in a reasonable amount of time and looked delicious. The crust was outstanding - great flavor, good chew, and perfectly cooked. There was a few chunks of fresh tomatoes, some tomato sauce, and fresh basil leaves. There was also cheese - a lot of cheese and it got to be overwhelming as we worked our way through it. All in all, a very good pie. The service was friendly and attentive. The total bill was $ 25 with two waters.
Update: the quality has been going downhill in the summer of 2025. Went 7/23/25 and food was slow to come out of the kitchen and cold. The pizza crust is good, but they are heavy handed with the cheese. Their cheesy garlic knots are amazing and the pizza is really good. I also tried their deluxe cheesesteak sub and it was the best I’ve had locally. The wings are okay with a generous amount of sauce. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I hope they get fountain drinks instead of just bottled drinks.
The pizza has a great crust and nice quality toppings. The garlic knots with cheese are great, knots without cheese are also good! They have fresh mushrooms, not canned and serve their marinara sauce warm instead of cold! Only bottled sodas, no fountain drinks. The staff is extremely friendly! After two visits during opening weekend, PizzaLand has definitely earned a spot in our regular restaurant rotation.
