The brisket and rye sandwich was stellar. It’s sort of like a French dip where you’re supposed to dip it in the side of beef broth. I preferred to just drink the broth on its own and not dip my sandwich. The red onion in the sandwich added a nice acidity that didn’t overpower the brisket. The brisket was tender and had a light flavor to it, with the amount of veggies it was a refreshing sandwich The bun bo hue tastes good. FYI they don’t include pork hock nor pork blood. Pros: has a prominent but not overpowering lemongrass flavor. Has a stronger spicy kick than other places, so maybe ask for less spicy if you can’t handle spicy food. The protein toppings were better than other viet restaurants because here they give more and the tendon was very flavorful and tender. Cons: The noodle portion was small, and also the noodles were clumpy and cut into weird chunks. Overall, it is a very solid place for Vietnamese food considering we are in the outskirts of SGV, and I will definitely come back for the brisket on rye sandwich and to try other menu items.
IG/TT @eatwkris BBH OVER PHO ANY DAY!! $19.99 without rib, $25.99 with giant tender beef rib. It already has so much meat but if you eat more the beef rib is really good. I love the spicy broth and it hits the spot if you’re craving soup. They also have a special pho dip sandwich $17.50 that has 1/2 a pound of tender brisket topped with pickled onions and fresh herbs on toasted rye. Very unique and captures the essence of pho. I love that it comes with a side of broth for dipping. Check them out!!
I heard their sandwich gone viral so I gave it a try. I ordered the Famous Sandwich Brisket on Rye, VERY DISAPPOINTED. It's OVERPRICED and OVER-RATED. Basically they used the brisket from beef noodles, add red onion pickles on a rye bread. The bread was not even toasted, so it fall apart. In my opinion, the soup is much better, not a fan of their sandwiches.
I ordered takeaway from this place and both the Lomo Saltado DD and Tai Lan DD were excellent!! Food was still hot when delivered and everything was tasty. I appreciate the extra verde sauce that came with the lomo Saltado. I also like that the broth and noodles/veggies are packaged separately so you can put it together when you're ready. I would order from here again!! Can’t wait to try other menu items.
Took the family here for dinner to try this new spot. I ordered the House Pho bowl. It came with 1 Large beef rib bone in, and 1 bone with marrow, tendons, brisket, and you choice of veggies to add to your bowl. I chose cilantro and red onions. The price for this was around $25 plus tax. It came out piping hot and fresh. I will order this again when im craving this dish. I would recommend trying this place.
