The Retired & Disabled Police of America (RDPOA) is a fraternal organization formed in October, 1990 and incorporated under the laws of the District of Columbia as a non-profit corporation, and is managed by a Board of Directors consisting of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Executive Director.
I grew up in TX near Mexico and have eaten tacos my entire life. Their carne asada and tinga are some of the best I’ve had!!! Also their salsa is amazing!! While eating i saw a guy come in just to buy the salsa and i now know why. Also a good selection of tequila/mezcal. Great place i cannot recommend more highly
One night my girl and I were trying to decide what to eat. Of course, she ignored all my suggestions—but she did recommend Helena’s Mexican Restaurant. When we got there, the place was packed, so we decided to order to go. Even with the crowd, the host staff was busy but very attentive. This spot definitely feels like a great place for larger groups. While we waited, we grabbed drinks—strong pours—and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. I ordered the Camarones a la Diabla, around $24, and my girl got three tacos, which were priced perfectly. The shrimp were very flavorful, no doubt about it, but the portion size was a little underwhelming for the price. If I’m paying $24, I expect more on the plate. That said—my girl’s tacos were freaking incredible. I’d definitely go back, but next time I’m getting the tacos.
Wow! Hidden gem indeed. The mole is the best I’ve had, just the right amount of spice and not too much chocolate. Salsa verde is superb! Will definitely return! Update on my first review. The mushroom taco is heavenly!
Mouth-watering!! Found this place while working in the area and decided to give it a try. I feel like I found a hidden gem! Everything was amazing from the staff to the food, the service and the atmosphere. The food was flavorful. Order 3 tacos and had to order one more because of how good they were. Definitely coming back. (Picture shows the last taco I ordered lol)
This place is super clean! I have been there twice now and the service is friendly and fast both times. I love their Carne Asada! But the shrimp taco is my favorite thing on the menu! The quesadilla is super cheesy. They make their owes salsa/hot sauce and they are all very good. I like their hottest red or their hottest red mixed with the green. Last time we where there the frijoles negros and the Al Pastor taco were approaching the salty side though and we are not big fans of their chips. We will be back!
