Yesterday on Cinco de Mayo, I stopped by La Plaza Supermarket, and it was like stepping into a vibrant slice of Mexico. This Latin market combines a full grocery store with a taqueria, offering an authentic shopping and dining experience. Wandering through the store was a cultural experience in itself. The shelves are packed with products from Mexico and Latin America—fresh produce, meats, baked goods, and hard-to-find specialty items. There are dedicated sections for meat, fish, bakery, produce, and even a pharmacy. From piñatas and cacti to colorful souvenirs and traditional cookware, the store has no shortage of unique items. I picked up some chocolate, chocolate wafers, and a pastry from their bakery, which had a surprisingly large selection of sweets. On the flip side, the coffee selection was pretty limited. Cleanliness was decent, and while the aisles felt a bit tight, everything was easy enough to navigate. The staff didn’t go out of their way to engage, but that might just be the first-visit experience. The taqueria, which is accessible both from inside the store and through a separate entrance, was roomy and had a steady crowd dining in—even on Cinco de Mayo. If you're looking for authentic Mexican ingredients, snacks, or souvenirs, La Plaza is definitely worth a visit. Plan to spend some time—there’s a lot to take in.

It's a mexican supermarket with a small restaurant inside. Prices are average for the supermarket. You can order burritos, quesadillas, etc. The portions you get for the price are great. Their burritos are huge. There is a side area to add your own toppings. They have a small seating area inside and a small patio for warmer weather. The staff members are nice.

My favorite stop for shopping for authentic Mexican ingredients. They have the best pico, guac, and corn taco shells. Great selection and great prices.

Was hyped to try this spot, but it was a total let down, no prices on the menu btw, I bought one taco, one small quesadilla, one nachos, total was around $30. The shredded chicken was tough, dry, and stringy, couldn’t finish those items had to toss after 2 bites. I had to remove Lizzo from all my playlists afterwards…
