This market had such a great selection for a store in the middle of nowhere (and honestly, in general). We were staying in Orleans for 4 days and stopped in on a couple occasions. We chatted with the owner who was really kind and helpful, and employees were really friendly every time we visited. The store itself is really well kept, clean, and organized. They have a small fresh produce section which is nice. A great selection of snacks, drinks, vegan friendly items, and even some basic supplies you may have forgotten!
A great store in an incredibly rural community. If you want better drive 40 miles to happy camp or willow creek and expect the same prices. Best selection.
An absolute rip off. Clearly a transplant, this guy waits for unsuspecting customers from out of town to waltz into his dusty, unkempt market, in many cases in desperate need of things, and he charges near gouging prices, with much disrespect. Almost 100$ for a 12 pack of baby wipes... I'll drive the extra miles to Hoopa next time. I'm surprised he's even allowed to do this. Also, no price tags on most items. He just makes it up. He tried to haggle me once I started putting items back. What a real pos. I hope someone with integrity takes over some day. Wow. I've never felt more wronged in my life. And I'm twice divorced.
For a small store in the middle of nowhere this store is well stocked . We stayed in Orleans for 5 days for work always found what we wanted here , and if you are hungry they have a small menu of To go food ,mostly Indian the curry chicken is great and one order was too much for me to finish
Well, I live in this area and it's kinda hard to put people down when you deal with them on a daily basis... that being said, there are a lot of people that question the ethics of this store..... for example,, being overcharged for products and questioning charges on there credit cards....
