The Retired & Disabled Police of America (RDPOA) is a fraternal organization formed in October, 1990 and incorporated under the laws of the District of Columbia as a non-profit corporation, and is managed by a Board of Directors consisting of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Executive Director.
I've used them for 2 PPTs. They are knowledgeable and don't suffer from technical arrogance. There is no "attitude" here. They are open during posted store hours, unlike another shop in the neighborhood.
I've purchased 2 firearms here. And each time has been excellent. There was one of both days that it was extremely busy but it's understandable as the time it takes to make a purchase can be lengthy. However, once it's my turn they provide great customer service, tips, and make the process smooth and as efficient as possible. I highly recommend this location for purchasing firearms.
Dealing with the owner is the way to go. He is mellow and knows his stuff. There's another bigger Asian worker in there who is obnoxious and gives off a Turner's Outdoor vibe. Avoid him and you'll probably have a nice gun store visit.
I've purchased new guns there and used their FFL service for transfers over the past few years. They've got some really great help that will spend the time you need to understand your options. Weapon shopping can be an interesting experience and it's nice to have calm, knowledgeable people there to help you out. Plus, they really know their inventory. Decent selection, great people!
The best experience in gun buying. Staff very helpful and knowledgeable. Never trust the big chain stores.
