I’m extremely disappointed with the customer service here. I’ve now had three separate pods from this store that were either burnt or completely not working. The most frustrating part is that when I tried the pod right there in the store and showed them it wasn’t working, they still refused to replace it. Every other shop I’ve been to will easily replace a defective pod if you test it in the store and it’s clearly faulty. It’s basic customer service and accountability for the products being sold. Instead, the staff here were rude, dismissive, and completely unwilling to help. If you’re selling products that can be defective, you should stand behind them…especially when the issue is proven immediately. Unfortunately, this place does not. After three bad experiences and zero effort to make it right, I won’t be coming back.
My husband and I go to this store since it is the closest one to our house and has the best prices for his cigarettes. But today (1/17/26 at 3:24pm) like most times we have come to this store, the store is closed with a sign that says will be back in 10 minutes. We and 5 other people came and left due to the store being "closed" even though its during business operating hours. For all this is worth we will just drive the extra time and go to the west des Moines location. This is super disappointing. More often than not when we try to stop in there they are "closed."
Other locations of Greenleaf tobacco in Des Moines and Clive are better. I visited this location hoping to find large walk in humidor, good selection of cigars at decent prices and "buy 4 get 1 free" - based on what I've seen in other locations. What I discovered instead was a joke of a humidor in a shelf, most popular cigars missing from selection, much higher price per cigar, and a sales associate with an attitude
I love this shop, they have good prices and a good selection. I love buying my King Palms here, they're by far the best option for wraps and they have a large selection of flavors here.
