About Side Chick – Chicken & Fries
The Retired & Disabled Police of America (RDPOA) is a fraternal organization formed in October, 1990 and incorporated under the laws of the District of Columbia as a non-profit corporation, and is managed by a Board of Directors consisting of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Executive Director.
It is a place you would miss if you were not looking for it. You will be disappointed in yourself for not stopping by and trying this place. I ordered the Nashville hot and was one of the best ones in town for sure. Onion rings on point and definitely will come back again and again. It is next to Manolia supermarket.
My friend introduced me to this place via three bites and I was hooked. I got the chicken fries. The service was pretty quick and the customer service was on point. It was really clean inside as well. I’ll definitely be back.
It was a spur of the moment order. We saw the sign once, and it was cute. Decided to order for a later night dinner pick up. The cashier was sweet and attentive when I arrived. The sandwiches , the western chick and the side chick were really good. We preferred the western out of the two the most as the bbq sauce and onion ring took it over the top. The special fries (can't remember which it was, think it was the cali chick) were good. I like them alot. They were too spicy for my boyfriend but I thought they were perfect as this is total preference. We will be going back to try some of the skinny chick options (grilled vs fried) i recommend trying this place for sure.
This place is the real deal! The hot chicken sandwich was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, with just the right amount of heat. The pickles added a great tangy bite, and that bun? Soft, buttery perfection. The fries were seasoned beautifully and had that perfect crunch. You can tell they care about quality here. Super satisfying meal and definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to again. Highly recommend!
Side Chick in Southeast San Diego has grown so much since I’ve been back, and it’s been incredible to see. From the moment we walked in, Ms. Ariadna was especially welcoming and made the experience feel warm and familiar. The hot tenders are still just as delicious. Trust me, don’t skip the honey mustard! The Cali Chick remains my go-to: flavorful, satisfying, and always scrumptious. Their menu has expanded so much since the early days, with plenty of new options to try. The onion rings were perfect and stayed crispy, and the chicken wings were also super yummy. It’s so wonderful to hear how well they’re doing, not only at this location but also in Imperial Beach. Wishing them all the luck with their up-and-coming third location. Well deserved! Big shout-out to Lalo and Javi, who have been there since the very beginning. It’s amazing to watch good people and good food continue to thrive!! Side Chick en San Diego ha crecido muchísimo. La señorita Ariadna fue súper acogedora y nos hizo sentir como en casa. Los tenders picantes siguen igual de deliciosos — no se pierdan la “honey mustard”. El Cali Chick siempre es mi favorito. Probamos los “onion rings”, crujientes y perfectos, y las alitas, muy ricas también. Qué alegría ver que les va tan bien aquí y en Imperial Beach. ¡Mucho éxito con la tercera ubicación que viene!
