Accused of theft of my birthday, no follow up from store. In the morning of the 28th, i went to the depot to get some dog food. During this visit, an employee, Ashley, was helping me at the register. My total was about $53 and some change. I had a gift card i wanted to use to take off some of the balance that was $50 but during the transaction I noticed Ashley was struggling. I asked if there was a problem and she said she could only accept the gift card if it took off the full transaction amount. I asked her what if i paid the $3 and change first and then paid with a gift card. She attempted this and it worked. I handed her a $100 bill to pay and the $50 gift card. She took the $100 bill from me and walked over to the right register (we were at the far left). She checked the bill by putting it up in the air and stood by that register a little while. She came back, used a calculator to determine my change and then handed me one $10 bill, sixteen $5 bills, and a single $1 bill with change. She did NOT count out this change to me. She handed me my change, finished the gift card transaction and then sent me off with the receipt and food. When i got to my car, I decided to double check my change to make sure it was all correct. I was given my $96 and change and drove home. About 15 minutes later I realized I received a missed call and a voicemail from Katies Pet Depot. The voicemail stated that I needed to call back immediately and come back to the store or further action would be taken and my account would be put on a hold. I called back right away to understand this concern. The associate who helped me, Ashley, answered the phone. I asked her what had happened and she immediately accused me of stealing $100 from the store. I asked her what she was talking about and she claimed that I took the $100 bill in addition to my $96 change. This WAS NOT THE CASE. I asked her what prompted her to believe I stole it and she did not have an answer she just repeated herself that i seemed to take the $100 bill with me and i need to return it immediately or further action would be taken. I told her that I watched her take the bill from me, walk to another register with it, check it, and come back with my change. I did not see the $100 after she walked away with it. She refused to acknowledge this and told me a manager would call me back. I asked if she checked the cameras and she said they haven't gotten to that yet. The audacity to accuse a decade long customer of stealing without an sort of proof or indication that it happened is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. I told her that she needs to check the camera especially before passive aggressively coming at a customer accusing them of theft. I would NEVER steal from a small business. And this was not a professional way to handle this situation. AT ALL. She told me if they find out its not my fault they will call back and apologize. I told her that an apology was already in order because she had no proof of theft, accused me of stealing on my BIRTHDAY, and came at me super unprofessionally. She did not apologize and replied by saying her manager will handle the rest of this and hung up the phone. To be safe, i checked my change AGAIN. I checked my car, i checked my pockets and i in fact DID NOT take that $100 bill. It has been over a week now and i have not received any form of apology. No follow up at all. This type of behavior is absolutely unacceptable and I hope that this business does the right thing by correctly address this matter and apologize for the incident. It is very clear, Ashley misplaced the money, as she was struggled through out the transaction and immediately went to blame a customer. I am very upset about this and I will be contacting corporate if resolution is not met. An apology is in order at the very least.

Excellent customer service. We took our dog to their dog wash stations, which offer shampoos, conditioners, and face washes, but you can bring your own. They also offer grooming services for your dog. Walk-ins are welcome. We were there in the evening, so there was no waiting. The stations were free. They charge 20 dollars per visit. After 5 visits, you get a free wash. What more can you ask for 20. Definitely going back.

I came to the store in emergency mode as the bags for picking up cat poop from the sandbox were misplace. The helpful gal at the desk showed me to the isle and explained the choices. Then a cat breakaway collar plus a tag shaped like a star caught my eye. She helped me use the engraving machine for the tag. I note that she communicated to the man behind me to go ahead and place items on the counter while she pointed me to the proper isle. She is obviously co ordinated in efforts to take care of customers well.
