The food was excellent! Couldn't wait to start eating, so I forgot to take a before picture. Make your next meal be here, you will not be disappointed!!
Haven't been to El Patron in about three years, but drove over today for an early dinner. Food looked amazing on the plate and taste pretty decent. Unfortunately my stomach was turned when a German cockroach crawled across our table. I smashed it and gave it to our server who apologized and took 25% off our tab. I know it's hard to get rid of roaches once you have them and restaurants are breeding grounds for them, but this place needs some serious fumigation. After reading through some other recent reviews, this has been an ongoing issue. I gave the food and service three stars because up until the cockroach, I was really enjoying my meal. This place has great potential but that roach is going to kill the vibe every single time.
Check your ITEMIZED Receipt! Seated in a booth and waited by the Bartender so slow service was expected from that but someone else had to get our refills after being out for insanely long, He took our order without writing it down which is fine if you can remember everything, and only had one topping wrong on my burrito but after 20 minutes for food that was fine not the biggest issue, the main issue came when time to pay and it was 102.55 I didn’t look at the itemized bill but he had charged us an extra meal and automatic 20% gratuity then gave me the receipt where you leave a tip, this is not normal for this establishment adding your own tip after giving bad service is not cool. I will not be bringing my business back after feeling scammed, luckily the manager found the ticket and only charged us the actual price but still leaves a sour taste in my mouth.
Overall our experience here was amazing! We got the pineapple fajitas which were very flavorful, it was a really nice change up from regular fajitas. We also got the burrito Fundio which was SO delicious! The cheese they top it with was so good, and the fried tortilla was great as well. The street corn was so delicious too, and one of our favorite parts of the meal. Definitely some of the BEST Mexican food we have EVER tried.
The place is in the strip mall, but it’s killer. Has a real nice vibe to it. Center bar with a lot of booth room. Staff is very friendly. I got something to go, this may be my new Mexican hideout!!
